SAGINAW -- They make up around 10% of the population, and they came together to help build a home.

Around half of the builders who fixed up this home on Avon Street in Saginaw are left-handed.

It’s being called the "World's First Left Handers and Friends Build for Habitat for Humanity.”

The dedication ceremony was held Friday.

"I greatly appreciate all the hands that were put into this project. I really do. It’s just wonderful to have people come and do this," said the new homeowner, Patricia Marcel.

The homeowner says she'll move in within the next few weeks.

She says one of her four children is also left-handed.
