Saginaw leaders say they're getting new technology to help fight crime.

Police Chief Gerald Cliff says another $300,000 are coming from the federal government to purchase additional cameras for the city's high tech surveillance system.

The cameras will be placed at key locations to keep an eye out on the community.

Saginaw Mayor Greg Branch says, "We just keep adding new tools, new ways of doing things, and it's the culmination affect that's eventually making the difference."

Local leaders also tell us that programs like Parishioners on Patrol and neighborhood associations are helping curb violence in the city.
