Special olympians ran with police officers in Bay City to raise money and awareness of the program.
Runners took off from the Bay County Law Enforcement Center and ended at the Michigan State Police Post.
Across the state the program raises thousands of dollars.
There are runs from the most northern point of the Upper Peninsula all the way to metro detroit.
Barbara Gourd, Area 9 Director for Special Olympics Michigan says, "The athletes take such pride in our whole program, and they're very excited. They love the police officers. They love it when they come to the events. They love to run with them, just to show their support."
The group is already promoting its Polar Plunge. It's at the end of February, dipping into the icy waters at Haithco Park. It has a goal of 160 people.
