(AP) -- Likely 2012 presidential candidate Mitt Romney and his Free and Strong American political action committee are helping three more Michigan Republicans. The PAC announced Wednesday it will send $2,500 each to congressional candidates John Kupiec of Grand Blanc in the 5th District and Rob Steele of Washtenaw County's Superior Township in the 15th District.
Kupiec is challenging Democratic Rep. Dale Kildee of Flint while Steele is running against Rep. John Dingell of Dearborn. The PAC will send $3,400 to Oakland County Clerk Ruth Johnson, the GOP secretary of state nominee. Gubernatorial candidate Rick Snyder and attorney general candidate Bill Schuette already have gotten the group's backing, as have the Republicans running in for Congress in all but the 12th, 13th and 14th districts.
