ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) - Underage and excessive drinking and other problems kept police and hospitals busy even before the football game between Michigan State and Michigan in Ann Arbor.

AnnArbor.com reported at least five individuals were taken to the University of Michigan Hospital by early Saturday because of high intoxication levels.

Ann Arbor and University of Michigan police said officers issued numerous citations for underage drinking. Campus police also cited four people for urinating in public.

Police say one underage drinker also was cited for disorderly conduct. Two people were arrested for marijuana possession.
