Fifty-seven bars, restaurants, and party stores were busted for selling alcohol and tobacco to underage customers.
The Saginaw County Sheriff's Department says the Express Stop on South Michigan in Saginaw, among other businesses, sold tobacco to someone underage.
Across the street, the sheriff says the Lockerroom Sports Pub also sold to an underage customer.
Saginaw County Sheriff William Federspiel says, "We don't want to see kids buying alcohol or buying tobacco if they're not of age. It's to protect our children and protect society."
The sheriff says the crackdown is working. He says the department revisited those who were cited, and they were all in compliance.
