CLIO -- A Clio area toddler needs your help.
Mckenzie Thompson has downs syndrome, a heart condition, and Myelodysplastic Syndrome (a form of leukemia).
On September 14th, the little girl also underwent a major open heart surgery to repair holes in her heart caused by the heart condition.
McKenzie will undergo chemo therapy treatments in the future to treat the leukemia, and the family says some of it might not be covered by their insurance.
In order to reach out and help, friends and family are inviting Mid-Michigan residents to a spaghetti benefit dinner.
It will be held Saturday, October 16th from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Clio VFW Hall located at 10380 N. Saginaw Road.
The cost is $8.00 a person and includes salad, spaghetti, and garlic bread. There will also be a 50/50 raffle, bake sale, and silent auction.
All proceeds will go to help pay for Mckenzie's medical costs.
