(AP) -- Authorities say a probation officer with the Michigan Corrections Department had an inappropriate sexual relationship in 2008 with a woman who was under his supervision. Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy on Monday announced charges against 46-year-old Mark V. Titus of Grosse Pointe. He was arraigned Thursday on four counts each of second- and third-degree criminal sexual conduct.
A message seeking comment was left at a telephone listing for Titus. Titus is due back in Detroit District Court on Oct. 26. The court says he doesn't have a lawyer on record.
Worthy says the case took 18 months to investigate. Authorities say Titus is on unpaid suspension from his job, which he has held for 11 years.
