We are wearing purple today, to honor the spirit in the LGBT flag. This is honoring the spirit of the 6 boys who recently committed suicides in the U.S. and hoping that someone could help to prevent this.
FROM THE TREVOR PROJECT:
The Trevor Project is the leading national organization focused on crisis and suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth. Suicide is one of the top three killers of young people. The Trevor Project's work is especially critical because LGBTQ youth are up to four times more likely to attempt suicide than their heterosexual peers. Every day, The Trevor Project saves young lives through its free and confidential lifeline, in-school workshops, educational materials, online resources and advocacy.
