(AP) -- Red typically is the color of choice for visitors to Joe Louis Arena. On Thursday night, fans instead will be thinking pink. The Red Wings are to host their fourth annual Breast Cancer Awareness Night when the team faces off against the Calgary Flames at the Detroit arena.
Fans who wear pink to the game will be entered to win a team-signed jersey.
And for $40, fans will have a chance to draw from an assortment of 100 goal pucks from the past few seasons, including pucks from the 2008 and '09 Stanley Cup finals.
The team's efforts are part of the NHL's Hockey Fights Cancer initiative, which raises money and awareness for organizations involved in cancer care and research.
