(AP) -- LANSING, Mich. - Michigan Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land estimates about 3.8 million voters across the state will turn out for Tuesday's election.

That would equal about 52 percent of Michigan's registered voters.

Voters will decide races including governor, attorney general, secretary of state, the state Legislature and the Michigan Supreme Court along with many local issues.

Land released the voter turnout estimate on Thursday.

About 3.85 million votes were cast in Michigan's 2006 gubernatorial election.

More than 5 million Michigan voters participated in the 2008 election, which included the race for president. Turnout in 2008 was more than 68 percent.
