Larson assumes command of 20th Medical Support Squadron

Air Force Lt. Col. Wendy M. Larson has assumed command of the 20th Medical Support Squadron, Shaw Air Force Base, Sumter, S.C.

Larson's change of command ceremony was on her 23rd anniversary of the first day of active duty, when she entered Military Indoctrination for Medical Service Officers at Sheppard Air Force Base, Wichita Falls, Texas.

She is the daughter of Aloysius E. and Yvonne M. Gulvas of Standish.

The colonel graduated in 1982 from Standish-Sterling High School and received a bachelor's degree in 1987 from Northern Michigan University, Marquette.  Larson earned a master's degree in 1997 from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
