In 1950 Bangor Township assistant Fire Chief Jimmie Dobson had a dream of displaying his own toy and fire truck collection. The Antique Toy and Firehouse museum sits in Bay City.

"Well toys are the way I started out," Dobson said. "I couldn't afford the real so I bought toys."

The toys kind of got carried away and as time went on I bought fire trucks," Dobson said. "I liked to hear the sirens I guess."

Dobson says his museum as the the second largest toy and fire truck collection in the world. It houses close to 100 real fire trucks. He collected the all one at a time.

The largest fire truck in the world is housed at the Antique Toy and Firehouse museum known as the Super Pumper.
