TITTABAWASSEE TWP. -- At 11:36am Friday, Tittabawassee Township Officers were dispatched to the 9700 block of Midland Road for a Personal Injury Accident.
Witnesses said a vehicle was driving the speed limit north-bound on Midland Road when the vehicle started gradually drifting to the right leaving the roadway.
The vehicle struck a road sign and continued on running over a mailbox and post before slamming head on into a large tree. The vehicle was a 1994 GMC Yukon. The victim, a 52 year old Midland resident, died at the scene.
At this time the cause of the accident is still under investigation. There were no other injuries at the scene.
