(AP) -- The family of a Detroit-area banker found dead after being missing for a month has hired a private lawyer to investigate the fatal shooting. The Detroit Free Press reports Sunday that David Widlak's family is bringing in Todd Flood to get answers. Flood is a former prosecutor who heads up a Royal Oak-based firm.

He tells the newspaper he believes Widlak was murdered and that it is "highly unlikely" the 62-year-old Grosse Pointe Farms resident committed suicide.

Macomb County Medical Examiner Daniel Spitz says the manner of death still is undetermined.

Widlak's body was found in Lake St. Clair on Oct. 17. He was the chief executive of Mount Clemens-based Community Central Bank.
