FLINT -- Sam Riddle’s mother passed away Wednesday.
Essie Riddle suffered a heart attack this past summer, and was placed in intensive care at Hurley Hospital. Her son, Sam Riddle, was released from prison in July to visit her one last time.
Sam Riddle was jailed on a case of public corruption. He was an aide to former Detroit city council woman Monica Conyers. Both were connected to a case of political bribery.
From federal prison, Sam talked about his mother’s death on his facebook page Wednesday. He stated, “Somebody should tell us, right at the start of our lives, that we are dying. Then we might live life to the limit, every minute of every day. Do it! I say. Whatever you want to do, do it now! There are only so many tomorrows. Rest In Peace to the woman of my life my mother, Essie Riddle I love you. Death ends a life, not a relationship.
