DETROIT (AP) -- Dozens of fans are braving icy roads, bitter cold and long lines to achieve their goal of seeing a Monday night football game in Detroit.

The Minnesota Vikings' home game against the New York Giants was moved to Monday at Ford Field in Detroit after the Metrodome's inflated roof collapsed under the weight of heavy snow a day earlier.

The Detroit Lions planned to start distributing free general admission tickets at 9 a.m. EST at the Ford Field box office. Some fans were there hours ahead of time, standing and shivering in the darkness and 12-degree temperatures.

By 8 a.m., the line had snaked around the side of the NFL stadium.
