The Patriot Guard Riders welcome home service members at local airports.

It's a way of making sure members of the military feel respected when they come home.

The Patriot Guard Riders stand at the gate waiting to see if service members are arriving.

At MBC Airport, the riders waited all day making sure everyone is thanked for their service.

Michael Deline, from the Region 5 Patriot Guard Riders says, "You couldn't believe some of the faces that we see. We had one the day before Thanksgiving in Flint. It was a little guy from the Coast Guard and he looked just like a deer in the headlights. He was so surprised. It gives you just great satisfaction letting them know they're appreciated."

The Patriot Guard also welcomed military members home in Flint and Grand Rapids.
