(AP) -- Officials say travelers at Detroit Metropolitan Airport should expect a second day of delays and cancellations as a post-Christmas blizzard slamming the East Coast continues to affect the state where mild weather continues.
The Detroit News and Detroit Free Press say about 160 flights were canceled or diverted Sunday. Airport spokesman Mike Conway tells the Free Press travelers should not expect a "normal day" at the airport. He said problems at Atlanta's airport rippled to Detroit. Both are major Delta Air Lines hubs.
Delta spokesman Kent Landers tells the Free Press the airline canceled about 850 flights system-wide in anticipation of the storm.
Travelers also faced trouble at Gerald Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids. The Grand Rapids Press says flights to Atlanta, Baltimore and Newark, N.J., were canceled.
