(AP) -- A 44-year-old woman has been jailed in Macomb County on accusations she set her boyfriend on fire and tried to stab him in their Roseville apartment. Shelia Golly was arraigned Monday on charges of assault with intent to do great bodily harm and assault with a dangerous weapon.

Police say the couple were arguing Sunday night about the man's drinking when Golly poured nail polish on him. They say she used a lighter to set him afire. He's being treated at a hospital.

She tells The Detroit News her boyfriend set himself ablaze and is wrongly blaming her.

Golly's 10-year-old child and a 5-year-old shared by the couple were home at the time. She's being held on a 200,000 bond. A preliminary examination is scheduled Jan. 12.
