One-hundred candles light the birthday cake of one MidMichigan company.
Skaff Furniture--Carpet One Floor and Home celebrates its centennial this year.
The company is just a few years younger than General Motors.
Its president says its simply approach to its customers and staff make it continually competitive with the big box stores.
"We really work hard at taking care of our customers. We know if we take care of the customer, they're likely to tell a friend, a family member, and the repeat business is very important," says Dick Skaff, president of the company.
To celebrate this milestone, Skaff is donating to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan and will be rewarding customers by giving away five $2,000 prizes over the next couple months.
