Jim Waldron Buick GMC in Davison gave away tens of thousands of dollars to several schools this morning.

Every time a vehicle was sold or serviced, the customer received tickets for the school of their choice.

The more tickets, the more dollars for each school.

This year, the top school received more than $10,000. One hundred sixty-one school districts applied. Forty-six checks were handed out.

"There's nothing more important than a great education. We have education and business working together. That's what generates the employees that set us apart from other businesses," says owner Jim Waldron.

Waldron says he'll continue the sweepstakes for schools program this year with awards to go out in January of 2012.
