FISH Inc. in Grand Blanc is a non-profit organization that helps families in need within the Grand Blanc school district.

With the help of volunteers within the community, the organization was able to help close to 300 families in need over the holidays. That's nearly 100 more than they reached out to in 2009.

Donne Hedding with FISH wants to enourage residents in the community that just because the holiday season has past, there are families in need all year round.

They are hoping people continue to give throughout the year. FISH accepts everything from food to clothes. Clothes can be dropped off at the Perry Center in Grand Blanc.

To learn more contact FISH at 810-695--1880.

If you do not live in the Grand Blanc area, contact you local Salvation Army and/or food bank to learn how you can help families in your area.
