(AP) -- Some Michigan utility customers can expect refunds in their February bills based on Michigan Public Service Commission rulings. The commission Thursday ordered Detroit Edison Co. to issue refunds to some customers related to regulatory asset recovery surcharges. A typical residential electric customer could see a one-time refund of about $10.

Michigan Consolidated Gas Co. must refund money to some natural gas customers because a self-implemented rate increase was higher than the final amount approved by regulators. The typical customer could get a $10.79 refund in February.

Consumers Energy Co. must refund money to electric customers related to security costs and surcharges. Typical residential customers should see their bills drop by about 27 cents in February.
