I was in grade school when the principal interrupted class to tell the students and teacher that the Space Shuttle Challenger exploded, killing all on board.
That was Jan. 28, 1986.
Christa McAuliffe, a school teacher, was on that flight that killed all seven crew members. Bangor Township Schools named a middle school in her honor.
