Alleged Bronner's vandals at previous court appearance.
FRANKENMUTH -- Four out of five alleged Bronner’s vandals have made plea agreements on a destruction of property charge.
Ryan Buckler, 19, Branden Dean, 21, Caleb Quintanilla, 17, and Samuel Quintanilla, 20, waved their preliminary hearing Tuesday morning, and pled to a lesser charge than originally given. While details of that plea will be decided in Circuit Court, part of it includes paying for the damages done.
The fifth suspect, Nickolas Bright, 21, also waved his hearing but hasn’t accepted a plea yet.
On Christmas day, the five Genesee Township men allegedly caused thousands of dollars in damages at the world’s largest Christmas store. The incident made national headlines.
NBC25 caught up with Wayne Bronner after the hearing. He says he spoke with the supsects, their families, and attornies in court Tuesday morning. "It's a very sad thing," Bronner told NBC25. "We feel sad for the fact that they got enjoyment out of doing that in the first place, and then also feel sad that they're having to live with the consequences. But, when you do damage like that there are some pretty important consequences that have to be dealt with."
Bronner also states, "we forgave them for what they did, we are Christian people, but that doesn't negate the fact that there are some consequences here and one of them is financial restitution. The rest of it we're going to leave to the courts to deal with as far as what they feel the appropriate punishment should be."
The suspects’ cases have been bound over to circuit court, but an appearance date has not yet been set.
