If you've ever visited Saginaw Valley State University you may have noticed the beautiful sculptures on campus. The sculptures you've seen are created by a very famous Michigan artist known as Marshall M. Fredricks. He's well known in America and also across the world for his monumental figurative sculpture, public memorials and fountains, portraits, and animal figures.
Fredricks' sculptures can be found in several states across the country and also in England, Freeport Grand Bahama Island, Finland, Japan, Norway and Sweden. You can see his works in parks, gardens, government embassies, royal places, museums, zoos, hospitals and libraries.
A couple of the sculptures that may stick out is the 28-foot Christ on the Cross at the Indian River Catholic Shrine in Indian River Michigan and also The Spirit of Detroit, located in front of the city-county government building in Detroit.

The Museum is open Monday thru Saturday from 12:00 noon until 5:00 P.M. The Museum is closed University and major US holidays.
