The man accused of shooting a six year old boy will face a judge for the crime, now in Genesee County Circuit Court.
Little Jonaries Holden died in November in Flint.
Police say 25-year-old Davontrae Benton was arguing with the child’s father about a $60 debt and shot into his car. A bullet hit the little boy.
A district court judge ruled there is enough evidence for this case to go to circuit court for trial.
Monday, a circuit court judge is scheduled to hold an arraignment, where charges will be formally announced against Benton so the case can move forward.
Benton faces open murder, assault with intent to murder, and felony firearm charges.
