The search continues for the person or persons who stabbed a mother and her child, then left both to die in a fire.
Police have identified the woman as Shakietha Ward, 21. Her daughter, also stabbed, remains in critical condition. Police are not yet identifying the child.
Flint Police say they found the two at an apartment on Glenbrook Circle in Flint around 2:00 a.m. Friday.
Rescue workers pulled the child and mother from the fire. Ward died at the scene.
