GRAND BLANC -- 4:40 p.m. Friday

Police say drugs and robbery were the motives behind Thursday’s murder in Grand Blanc.

The crime happened at Grand Oaks Apartments around 10:30 a.m.

Police say 47-year-old Jeanne Hank was strangled to death at her apartment.

The suspects are 26-year-old Lorenzo Relerford and 26-year-old Dantoine Brown.

They were picked up by police driving Hank's car on Pasadena and MLK in Flint.

Police say the suspects are drug dealers and had a relationship with Hank.

"The victim in this case is a sister of one of my deputies, and drugs kill families, and this family has suffered greatly with the drug problem that this girl has had for a number of years," said Genesee County Sheriff Robert Pickell.

A third person was questioned in this murder case.

The police chief says he is not connected, but was arraigned on an unrelated warrant.
