Rumors that said Jacki Chan was dead, have been found to be not true. If you look at Twitter Wedneday, one of the top trends is “RIP Jackie Chan.”
According to Google, “The Rush Hour star was rumored to have died of a heart attack aged 56.” It soon was discovered to be a hoax, but it hasn’t kept it from trending on social media.
To combat the rumor, Chan posted a photo of the movie star meeting with Yuji Kumamaru, Consul-General of Japan in Hong Kong. According to Chan’s website, he’s meeting to “discuss the details of the ‘Love Without Borders 3/11 Candelight Gala.’
This isn’t the first time social media has incorrectly rumored the death of a star. Recently, social media reports said that Jared from Subway had passed away. Snopes.com also discovered that rumor to be a hoax.
