Update: March 31st, 2:55 p.m.

Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder and Republican leaders say they’ve accomplished a lot in the first three months of office.

According to a report from NBC25’s sister station in Lansing, WILX TV, the group hails their ban on the item pricing law, and feels accomplished for extending Federal unemployment through the end of the year.  Gov. Rick Snyder also stands by his decision to give emergency financial managers more power.

According to the Associated Press, the republican’s next plan is to build a new bridge across the Detroit River and Canada.

Governor Rick Snyder will give a report Thursday on his first 90 days in office.

The recently appointed Republican Governor and leaders of the GOP will hold a news conference to discuss the budget and what they have accomplished so far.

Recently, Governor Snyder’s bills to cut school spending, tax pensions, and set in place a financial manager have outraged thousands of Michigan citizens.  Also, this month the Governor announced that State unemployment benefits would be cut from 26 to 20 weeks, but that Federal aid would be continued through the end of the year. Snyder says these cuts are vital in order to reach the May 31st budget deadline.

According to the Associated Press, the governor says he’s willing to take suggestions, but so far no decent alternatives have come up.

As Gov. Snyder gives his self-evaluated “report card,” we want to know what grade you would give him. Leave your comments here, or join the conversation on the NBC25 facebook page.
