An autopsy has confirmed that the man found dead at Mike's Tavern died of a heroine overdose.  Police are still not releasing his identity, but say the investigation has come to a close.

Grand Blanc Township Police are investigating the death of a man found in a local bar.

Police say the man was found at Mike’s Tavern on Fenton Road around closing time early Sunday morning.  A worker trying to close the business found the man unresponsive in the bathroom.

Investigators interviewed several friends who were with the man at the bar before he died.  They say as they left separately, they thought he had found a ride home with each other.  They realized later he never came home from the bar.

"Right now it appears he overdosed on heroin, but we are still investigating," said Detective Todd Gilbert.

The man's identity is not yet being released.

An autopsy is scheduled to be done Monday to determine his exact cause of death.
