Another earthquake has hit Japan

JAPAN -- Update: April 7th, 12:17 p.m.

The Associated Press is now reporting that the tsunami warning has been lifted.


Update: April 7th, 11:30 a.m.

Several national news outlets are reporting another  devastating earthquake has hit Japan.

According to MSNBC, this quake has registered at 7.4 in magnitude.

The Associated Press reports the epicenter hit 25 miles off the cost of Miyagi prefecture.

Tsunami warnings are also going out, especially for areas along the cost.

This area was hit by 9.0 magnitude quake in March. The already devastated area is still trying to recover from the last shock.  The tsunami from Thursday’s quake could ravish the land even more.

NBC25 is continuing to follow this breaking news, and will have more information on the earthquake and tsunami warnings as it becomes available.
