FLINT -- The latest string of violence in Flint began just after midnight Thursday.

Police tell us a 23 year old man was in his car at his home on the 700 block of Copeman Boulevard, when he was shot.  He was rushed to the hospital, but he died from the wounds.  Authorities are searching for two black males. Unfortunately, no other details were available about the suspects.

Then, just hours later, another man was shot on the 2900 block of Berkley.  At last check, he was in critical condition.  Police had no information on who was responsible.

If anyone has information on either of these crimes, they’re asked to call Flint Police at 810-237-6911.

This latest murder brings the toll to 17 homicides in Flint alone this year.  If the other victim loses his struggle to survive, then the total will be 17 murders.

We want to know what you think needs to be done to stop the violence and homicides from continuing in our area. Something obviously needs to be done to protect the people.  We want to know your ideas. Leave us your thoughts below.
