FLINT -- A man is behind bars for breaking in and vandalizing Flint City Hall.

Sunday, police found the windows of the front doors had been broken and other signs of vandalism inside.

Police say the suspect was found washing his hands inside a bathroom at city hall.

He was arrested on the spot.

Police say the suspect is a troubled individual who acted alone.

City officials are assessing the damages.

Flint City Hall will be open Monday for business.

The incident is under investigation.
