Local law enforcement has an interesting way of keeping kids in school and out of jail, by reading to them.
They visited the Midland County Educational Services Agency preschool.
Uniformed leaders sat down to read to children to promote education and the importance of positively contributing to society.
Midland County Sheriff Jerry Neilsen says, "The more they read, the more they hear, the more they learn, and the less apt they are to get in trouble."
The Midland County prosecutor and Midland police chief also took part in reading to children.
