MIDLAND -- The Midland Mall shut down for about two hours Monday night, due to a written bomb threat.

According to Sgt. Steve London, Midland County Central Dispatch received a call at approximately 6:15 p.m. from Midland Mall authorities.

The decision was then made between mall authorities and police to evacuate the building.

Police assisted in checking the mall's security and the evacuation.

Nothing suspicious was found in the mall to indicate a threat. The mall reopened at 8:30 p.m.

Details of the threat are under investigation; there are no suspect leads at this point.

We will have more information as it becomes available.
