MUNDY TOWNSHIP -- A flint woman pleads guilty Wednesday to carjacking a Mundy Township man, leaving him tied up to the bed by his medical tubes.
Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton says 41-year-old Renee Garcia met the victim at a bar on January 17th and went back to his house.
The victim woke up and discovered he had been hit in the head with a hammer and tied to his headboard with the tubes from his breathing machine, along with the cord from his alarm clock.
Garcia had taken money from his wallet, stolen his car keys and fled in the victim's car.
The victim managed to free himself and went to a neighbor's house for help.
Police were called and the victim's car was found later that morning about a quarter of a mile from Garcia's residence.
Later, Garcia's phone was found in the victim's car with blood on it.
Garcia was arrested for the incident a week later.
Jury selection had already begun in Genesee County Circuit Court when Garcia decided to plead guilty.
She will be sentenced on June 23rd.
The county prosecutor says it's expected she will be sentenced to 11 years and 3 months in prison.
