BUENA VISTA -- Buena Vista Township Police  are searching for a man who hit a police officer with his pickup truck.

It happened around 11:00 pm Thursday.  Officers were investigating a suspicious vehicle parked in the lot of the Super 7 Motel on South Outer Drive. When the officer got out of this car, the driver began accelerating, and crashed into the police officer.

The driver got away.  The vehicle is described as a dark colored pickup truck, possibly a Chevrolet.  The license plate is GE9750, but the officer isn’t sure if it was a Michigan plate.

The driver is described as a white man, between 40-50 years old.

The police officer suffered a minor arm injury, and was treated at the scene.

Anyone with any information about the vehicle and/or driver is asked to contact the Buena Vista Police Department at 989-755-9074.
