The Crawford Co. Sheriff believes Avery Parker raped a woman.
CRAWFORD CO. -- Update: May 24th, 4:01 p.m.
The Crawford County Sheriff reports Avery Parker was caught early Tuesday morning in the Detroit area.
The suspect is expected to be charged in Crawford County on six felony counts, ranging from criminal sexual conduct 1st degree to unlawful imprisonment and aggravated domestic violence.
A rapist could be on the loose in Mid-Michigan.
The Crawford County Sheriff reports 45-year-old Avery Robert Parker of Roscommon repeatedly sexually assaulted a 47-year-old South Branch woman at her home early Saturday morning.
The woman eventually escaped, and fled into the woods near her home, where she wandered for several hours before reaching a neighbor, and asking for help.
Parker is described as 5'11", 225 lbs with brown hair and blue eyes. He is believed to be driving a brown/tan 1988 Ford Pickup Truck with a black hood and black door, and a cracked windshield.
The sheriff believes Parker is extremely dangerous, and is asking citizens to NOT approach him. If someone sees him, they’re asked to call 911, Deputy Jason Alexander at (989) 348-4616 ext 333, or Central Dispatch at (989) 348-6341 immediately.
