MONITOR TOWNSHIP -- A portion of I-75 was shut down Monday night for about three hours after a semi hauling timber lost control.

It happened just after 6:30 p.m. in Monitor Township.

Police shut down the northbound lane of I-75, just south of Wilder Road.

Police tell NBC25 the truck driver lost control, drove through the median into the southbound lane dumping tree trunks all over the highway.

Traffic was detoured to M-13 while the scene was cleared.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
