FLINT -- Federal investigators are combing through a pile of paperwork and electronic archives the City of Flint has turned over.
The FBI is investigating the city, but city officials are not saying for what.
"My administration is cooperating fully with a number of ongoing federal investigations," says Dayne Walling, mayor of Flint.
Wednesday, the Federal Bureau of Investigation visited Flint City Hall requesting information.
"In less than 24 hours, me and my staff made available all of the requested information including a large volume of archived paper and electronic information," says Walling. "I am not a subject of these investigations. I am committed to rooting out any waste and fraud in Flint."
The Flint Journal says the investigation is from the U.S. Department of Energy wanting information on how a federal grant for weatherization of low-income housing is being spent.
The mayor's office would not confirm that saying any additional information would jeopardize the investigation.
"We will not take any questions about the investigation that's taking place here at city hall," says Dawn Jones, Flint communications director.
NBC25 called the FBI in Flint.
It said it could not provide any information.
