Update 8am Monday from Meteorologist Kevin Usealman:  Tornado confirmed in Shiawassee County

Storms that moved through the area Sunday evening produced on confirmed tornado in southwestern Shiawassee County.  It produced a damage path of about 2.5 miles southwest of the Perry area.  Nobody was injured.  There were a few spotty reports of wind gusts over 70 MPH across Shiawassee, Genesee and in Lapeer county one report of wind damage.  The reports seem to mostly range from the center of the counties southward.  More numerous reports of wind damage from the line of storms came in across Liningston, Oakland and Macomb counties.  Check out the local storm reports from the National Weather Service from the May 29th severe weather event here.
