BIRCH RUN -- Gas prices have jumped significantly in the past few days.
In Birch Run a gallon of regular is going for $4.19.
AAA Michigan says gas prices are up about 9 cents per gallon over the past week.
The statewide average is about a $1.26 higher than this time last year, and that's angering a lot of folks.
"We complain about the gas companies making 14 billion in the first quarter, yet we are paying over $4.00 a gallon, that doesn't make any sense," said Clio resident, Richard Mendoza.
AAA Michigan says the cheapest price for unleaded fuel is in the Lansing area at $3.82 a gallon.
