BANGOR TWP. -- Michigan State Police  are warning that a man, accused of rape, is on the loose in Mid-Michigan.

MSP in Bay City tell NBC25 a 25-year-old woman was attacked and raped in her Bangor Township home around 11:00 p.m. Sunday.

The suspect escaped, and has been on the loose ever since.

NBC25 asked for a suspect description, but officials said the description they had so far was too vague. So, they are not yet releasing those details as their investigation continues.

Police say residents across Mid-Michigan should be extra careful. They’re reminding people to keep doors and windows locked, and to report any suspicious activity immediately to their post by calling 989-684-2234.
