DETROIT -- A lawsuit has been filed in Detroit against Lady Gaga’s “We pray for Japan” bracelets.
The musical star is selling the wristbands that say “we pray for Japan” for $5 on her website. She claims 100% of the profits go to help those devastated by the earthquakes.
However, according to the Associated Press, the federal lawsuit claims there is a $3.99 shipping cost, and that not all of the money is actually going toward Japanese aid.
Attorney Alyson Oliver says she wants an accounting. The suit seeks class-action status and possible refunds for everyone who has purchased the bracelets.
