SAGINAW -- Saginaw police are investigating the city's 5th homicide of the year.
It happened on the 3300 block of Rust just before 11 Saturday night.
There, police say they found a man on the ground outside the home suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso.
The victim did not survive his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim was 22 years old and a resident of Saginaw.
Police say there were dozens of people at the crime scene.
"When I arrived on scene, approximately 75 to 100 people were out, just milling around, and for nobody to come forward is just absurd. It's such a tight-knit neighborhood, there had to be a witness and I just hope somebody comes forward," said Sgt. Dutoi with the Saginaw Police Department.
