Update: Casey Anthony will be released from jail on Sunday, July 10th.

July 7th:

The Detroit Free Press reports Casey Anthony should be released Wednesday, July 13th.

July 7th:

Judge Belvin Perry has sentenced for four counts of lying to police. Each count carries a one year penalty in the Orange County jail, and carries a $1,000 fine.  Anthony will receive credit for time already served.  The courts will determine further how much time she has served.

In count four, Anthony told police that she worked for Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida in 2008. She filed a missing persons report regarding the disappearance of her child, Caylee.  Police soon realized that Anthony was not employed at Universal Studios.

In count five, Anthony informed police that she had left her child, Caylee Marie Anthony, at the apartment with a babysitter, and she filed a missing persons report.  This mislead police, and caused them to spend further resources in attempting to find the child.

Count six again dealt with another incident in which she lied about her employment at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.

In count seven, Anthony told law enforcement officers that she had received a phone call from Caylee, and that she had spoken with the child on July 15th, 2008 at approximately 12:00 p.m. Police spent extensive resources attempting to track this lead, only to discover that it was false.

At the sentencing, the Judge Perry stated, "as a result of those four separate and distict lies, law enforcement expended a great dael of time, energy, and manpower looking for young Caylee Marie Anthony. This search for her went on from July through December, over several months, trying to find Caylee Marie Anthony. Four distict separate lies. Just as the jury spoke loud and clear on counts one, two, and three by their verdict, they also spoke loud and clear as to the remaining counts: four, five, six, and seven."

Casey Anthony has up to thirty days to appeal the sentencing.

Casey Anthony smiled and wiped away tears Tuesday afternoon, as the jury found her "not guilty" for 1st degree murder, aggrivated child abuse, and aggrivated manslaughter of a child. They did find her "guilty" on four counts of providing false information to a law enforcment officer.

Casey was accused of murdering her daughter, Caylee in 2008.  The trial, that raged on for six weeks, made national headlines as the prosecution presented over 400 pieces of evidence that they believe proved the child's mother murdered the innocent toddler.  The prosecution believed that the 25-year-old woman suffocated her daughter with duct tape.

The defense, however, stated that the evidence was shoddy, and that there were too many loose ends. They argued that the little girl drowned in a pool, and that the child's father decided to make the death look like a homicide after Casey panicked.

After hours of deliberations, the jury reached the final verdict.  The 12 jurors have chosen not to speak about their decision.
