Saginaw Township Police have identified the alleged bank robber, who died in a crash while fleeing police as 42-year-old Delpree Brown from Saginaw.

UPDATE: 11:45 p.m.
Michigan State Police say the bank robbery suspect who died in a car crash Thursday had a long criminal record.
Police say shortly before 2:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon, a 42-year-old Saginaw resident robbed the Citizens bank on Bay Road in Saginaw Township.
“I was told he presented a note to the teller, that he had a gun and demanded cash,” said Lt. Stephen Sipes with Michigan State Police.
The suspect took off with the money in his car.
Authorities tried to pull him over but he fled driving two miles before he entered oncoming traffic and crashed his vehicle at the intersection of Weiss and Bond.
The suspect's vehicle was broadsided by a van carrying two women and two children.
They suffered non-life threatening injuries.
However, the robbery suspect died at the scene.
Police say he was out on parole and had served time for drugs, stealing vehicles, fraud, and at one time had escaped from prison.
Witnesses say the whole ordeal was scary.
“The grandkids were here and I said put your shoes on, we're going to walk to the corner and see what's going on.  My one granddaughter says, ‘Is he dead?’ And I said well I think that he isn't doing to well there,” said Connie Doak who witnessed the crash scene.
Police say the suspect's car is being held at Bridgeport Towing as the investigation continues.
